Sheahan's Grocery Stores

Centra is Ireland’s leading convenience retail group, and the Sheahan family are proud to independently own and operate ten Centra stores, as well as one Daybreak store, in local communities in County Kerry.

This year, four of these stores were acquired ~ the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Together with the team, the family are focused on planning store re-fit designs, thoughtfully considering every aspect of each store, with the local community and loyal customers at the heart of every decision. Some changes will happen quickly, while others will take much more time, careful design and greater consideration.

Our flagship store on Muckross Road, Killarney, is home to an experienced team and dedicated on-site production kitchen, producing an extensive range of own-brand products daily using the finest quality and freshest locally sourced seasonal ingredients ~ with select items also available across other stores within the group. This store also offers a convenient click-and-collect catering service, with a dedicated team of professionals providing high-quality catering and an extensive menu to cater for all occasions.

As a group we operate award-winning stores. Centra Muckross Road, Killarney was awarded the Excellence in Customer Experience Award 2022 by their service station partner Maxol, and in 2025 their management team across a number of stores were nominated at The ShelfLife Grocery Management Awards, with their Centra Muckross Road, Killarney Delicatessen/Food to Go Manager winning an award in his category. Most recently, the Store Manager at Market House Daybreak, Cahersiveen, was recognised on a national stage, winning Medium C-Store Manager of the Year at the Grocery Management Awards 2026.
